What counts as a render?
One successful POST /v1/render that returns a PDF. Failed renders and test-key renders never count.
Do test keys cost anything?
No. ik_test_ keys render watermarked PDFs and never bill or count against your quota.
How does annual billing save two months?
Annual plans are billed at 10x the monthly price for 12 months of service.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated by Polar; downgrades apply at renewal.
Can I send an HTML file instead of a JSON string?
Yes. Post multipart/form-data with an html field, or a url field to render a live page. JSON with an html string works the same way.
How do async jobs and webhooks work?
Send async:true and you get a job id back immediately. When the PDF is ready we POST a render.completed event to your webhook URL.
Where do I get my API key?
Start free by email or finish Polar checkout on the pricing page. Your live key arrives by email; test keys are always available.
Does long-document page-break control really work?
Yes. Honour break-inside, repeat table headers per page and drop numbered headers and footers without babysitting headless Chromium.
